# Wonder 38
Finding your sunlight...
Dear Masterpiece,
You are still wonderfully and beautifully made.

In the past few days or weeks, you've had to congratulate someone, a friend, family member or colleague. Not that bad things keep happening to you daily but you have some expectations that need answers. And June ends in a few days.
I have one question for you before you read on.
When last did you genuinely have a good day?
If you're struggling to remember, this Wonder Note is for you.
And if today has already started difficult, this note is here for you.

Story story.
Elijah had just come off the biggest moment of his life.
Not a small win. God showed up for him, the people in his neighbourhood saw and broadcasted it. It was more of a national news, like a grass to grace hit that trended for months.
Then one message dropped in his phone and everything inside him caved.
He left. He went away. He didn't tell anyone where he was going. He just walked away for a full day until he found a tree, sat under it and said out loud:
"I've had enough. I'm done."
Then he lay down and slept.
No rebuke came. No voice telling him to get it together. Just a gentle nudge and the smell of fresh bread.
Get up and eat. The road ahead is too much for you to go hungry.
God didn't fix everything that day. He didn't explain the bad season or fast-forward to the good part. He just made sure Elijah had eaten, made sure he rested. Then He came back and fed him again.
The sunlight returned but first came bread, water, and the permission to rest when tired.
Reflect : You know where the shoe pinches
When the bad day rolled into a bad week and the bad week started feeling permanent, did you stop looking for light?
Did you stop believing light was still possible for you?
Is there a part of you that feels like other people's lives have sunlight and yours doesn't? Where did that thought come from?
The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.
Genesis 1:2-3 NLT
You're not alone
A bad day is not a bad life. But when you stay in it long enough without rest, it starts to feel like one.
Elijah didn't get a sermon under that tree. He got bread, water and permission to sleep. Sometimes, God's answer to your bad season is care, not correction.
The sunlight didn't disappear. It's waiting on the other side of rest, honesty and one conversation with the right person.
Takeaway
What is one thing, just one that felt like sunlight to you this past week/month, even if it was brief?
Can you hold onto that instead of the whole bad week?
If God showed up today the way he showed up for Elijah quietly, practically, without judgment, what would you ask Him to bring you?
Is the bad mood you're carrying yours or have you absorbed it from everything and everyone around you?
Renew your mind
Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the LORD listened; he saved me from all my troubles.
Psalm 34:5-6 NLT
Speak with purpose
God, thank you. Some days are dark. Some days are uncertain. But you, Lord are my constant good thing. I have received the gift of your word to guide my feet and light my path and I'll experience how good this gets. I am light and there's light within and around me. Amen.
On some days, you may pretend that everything is okay or give a generic answer to the question, how are you? But, I'd love to remind you, light will come.
You are loved.
You're a masterpiece.
Cultivating intimacy and gratitude,
Oluwatobiloba Wonders.
